Every year Genesis of Pittsburgh, Inc. helps hundreds of women, children and babies in our community. To keep these important programs running, Genesis needs goods ranging from everyday household items to cribs. Listed below is a wish list for items needed by Genesis Center, Pittsburgh.

Making a donation?

We appreciate your generosity. To help us to better meet the needs of our clients, we are focusing our distribution efforts on providing safe items specifically for pregnant women, new babies, infants, and toddlers. Please keep this in mind when selecting items to donate to Genesis Center.
We do not have room to accept furniture other than baby and nursery furniture.

Due to safety concerns, we cannot accept and distribut ethe following items: • used nipples • used pacifiers • drop-side cribs • sleep positioners • crib bumpers • walkers with wheels • Bumbos • ring-style bath seats • doorway jumpers • sling-style carriers.

Bus tickets and gift cards are always welcome, and will be used to support our educational programs.

Our clients are always pleased to have a variety of scrapbooking supplies avaialble to them. Please consider donating any extra scrapbooking items you may have around the house.

We gratefully accept donations of new or gently used:

Clothing: infant and children's shoes and clothes sizes 0-6, especially onesies, sleepers, and baby socks

Feeding supplies including formula, breast pumps, bottles, and bibs

Baby furniture including cribs and mattresses, changing tables, bassinets, pack 'n plays, highchairs, and glider rockers

Baby equipment including strollers, bathtubs, bouncy seats, monitors, exersaucers, front packs, and car seats manufactured within the past 5 years

Other baby items and supplies including diapers and wipes; sheets for cribs, bassinets, and pack 'n plays; new toys, stuffed animals, and gift items

Items for pregnant women including current books about pregnancy, birth, and parenting; maternity clothing or casual clothing suitable for pregnancy wear; new bras and panties. No women's shoes, please.
