Take advantage of Pittsburgh's spectacular riverside scenery! Participants will enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the North Shore and Washington's Landing. Course amenities include split times at all mile markers, three aid and water stations located on the course, and assorted refreshments provided at the finish line.

Course Description

10K Race will begin at the Riverfront near Gate A of Heinz Field. Runners will proceed on the Riverfront Trail to River Road to Washington's Landing and return via the Riverfront Trail to the start/finish line.

5K Race will begin at the Riverfront near Gate A of Heinz Field. Runners will proceed on the Riverfront Trail to River Road, turn around at Warfield Street, and return via the Riverfront Trail to the start/finish line.

Funwalk: Those who wish may walk the 5K course. There are no award categories for walkers.

Parking

$5.00 Parking is conveniently located adjacent to Heinz Field in Gold Lot #2.

Race Day

Registered runners and walkers, as well as late registrants, can pick up race packets and chips at the starting line, beginning at 7:00 AM. The first 500 registrants will receive an official Genesis Riverside Run T-shirt.

Entrants are responsible for personal items left at the start line. Cheating of any sort (exchanging runners' numbers, exiting and reentering course, etc.) will result in disqualification. The race director's decision is final.

This event will be scored by Runner's High using the ChampionChip timing system. On race day, runners will be issued a rental computer chip that is attached to the shoelace and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish will record a finishing time for each chip. Volunteers will assist with the removal of rented timing chips. Failure to return the chip will result in a $30 charge. (Those who wish to use their own approved timing chip may do so and deduct $2 from the entry fee. Please record chip number on the entry form.)
